Dash Cam Hardwire Kit OBD for Dashcam, GPS, Radar

We started with a dashcam accessories supplier and decided to develop a dashcam hardwire kit with more functions to meet customers' new requirements. The hardwire kit has a time delay function to keep the power supply when the engine is temporarily stopped, as many vehicles nowadays have a start/stop function. However, the hardwire kit may not be compatible with all brand dashcams because the Type-C uses a different ACC signal port than others (A5-B5 or A8-B8), which can cause compatibility issues.

The OBD charger cable is designed for the majority of dash cameras, GPS, radar detection, and other electronic devices with USB Type-C connectors. However, this unit does not work with Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrid vehicles.

In "Mode 0", the OBD kit will power off in 20 minutes when the car engine is off. The dash cam hardwire kit also has a battery protection feature that will cut off the power when the battery voltage gets too low (11.6V).

The installation process is simple: plug into the car's OBD port, connect to the dashcam, test the power supply and parking mode function, and then hide the extra wires.

Users can choose different modes by a simple switch based on their parking environment. It is recommended to use the ACC mode for long-time parking. In "Mode 0" (ACC mode), the OBD power cable will power off in 20 minutes when the car's ACC is off. In "Mode -" (Surveillance mode), the OBD power cable will keep working until detecting the car battery voltage is at 11.6V (low voltage protection), which helps protect the car's battery from running out.
